Viridian Solar has announced a major enhancement to its Clearline fusion series of roof-integrated solar panels, with the new PV16-445AG-M10 model scheduled for release on June 1, 2025. This innovative model significantly boosts power efficiency, delivering 445Wp—approximately 10% higher than the previous PV16-405-M10.
Technology and Design
The PV16-445AG-M10 utilizes state-of-the-art N-type TOPCon solar cell technology, housed within a dual-layer glass construction. This innovative dual-glass design notably enhances the panel’s durability and longevity by positioning solar cells at the central laminate position, reducing mechanical stress from environmental factors such as wind and snow. Additionally, the glass casing offers improved protection against oxidation compared to traditional polymer-based designs.

Performance Guarantees
Thanks to the advanced design, Viridian Solar has upgraded its power retention guarantee, assuring 95% power output after 10 years and 87% after 30 years.
Enhanced Fire Safety
A significant improvement in fire safety results from substituting standard polymer backsheets with non-flammable glass, substantially lowering fire risk. Paired with Viridian Solar’s all-metal Clearline fusion mounting system, the panel attains exceptional fire safety ratings (BRoof classification) across both Test 1 (Germany and Benelux) and Test 4 (UK), fully satisfying stringent building safety regulations without additional certifications.
Leadership Statements
KT Tan, Viridian Solar’s Chief Technology Officer, highlighted that this innovative construction method strengthens structural durability while ensuring consistent energy output throughout the product’s lifespan. Jamie Berryman, Chief Sales Officer, emphasized that controlling both panel and mounting system designs provides customers with assurance regarding compliance with stringent building regulations, durability standards, and responsible sourcing practices.

Market Applications
The PV16-445AG-M10 positions Viridian Solar ideally to support ambitious renewable energy targets for developers and builders. The panel is particularly suitable for premium applications such as self-build projects, social housing renovations, and new residential developments aiming to exceed current energy efficiency standards, such as the innovative Octopus Zero Bills House.
